(ff. 1r-4v); an abridged Brut Chronicle, in French, (ff. 5r-10r); Confirmatio Chartum, in French, (ff. 10r-13r); Magna Carta (ff. 14r-20v); Charta Forestae (ff. 20v-23v, incomplete); Statuta Angliae (ff. 24r-154v., imperfect at beginning and end); on folio 124v is added a hymn to the Virgin; on folio 125v is added a precept to John Moygne (justice of the peace for Lincolnshire, 1486-1502).

On inheriting his father's estate at Middle Hill in Worcestershire, Phillipps embarked on a career of collecting manuscripts and books. His collection of manuscripts eventually numbered over 60,000 items.
